  • This registration type is for all attendees that are employed by an LEA having a current individual or institutional membership with ACAPA. The member rate is available for any attendee provided they are employed by the LEA. Check the list of member LEAs if you are not sure if your LEA is a member district.
  • This registration type is for LEA employees whose LEA does NOT have an individual or institutional membership with ACAPA. Check the provided list of member LEAs. If your LEA is not listed then select this registration type.
  • This registration type is for all Attorneys seeking CLE credit who DO NOT represent an LEA having a current individual or institutional membership with ACAPA. The non-member Attorney rate is available for any Attorney NOT representing an ACAPA member LEA. Check the list of member LEAs if you are not sure if your LEA is a member district.
  • This registration type is for all Attorneys seeking CLE credit who represent an LEA having a current individual or institutional membership with ACAPA. The member rate is available for any Attorney attendee provided they represent an ACAPA member LEA. Check the list of member LEAs if you are not sure if your LEA is a member district. This registration includes the CLE fee for 10 credits.
  • This registration type is for all Attorneys NOT seeking CLE credit who DO NOT represent an LEA having a current individual or institutional membership with ACAPA. The non-member rate is available for any Attorney attendee provided they DO NOT represent an ACAPA member LEA. Check the list of member LEAs if you are not sure if your LEA is a member district.

The complexity of educational law in Pennsylvania underscores the necessity for concerted efforts between the legal and educational communities to achieve understanding and compliance. In this spirit, the board of directors of the Attendance / Child Accounting Professional Association (hereafter A/CAPA) is hosting a two-day workshop in collaboration with leading school law firms in Pennsylvania.

Empowering Education Through Law: A Collaborative Workshop

A/CAPA, one of Pennsylvania’s most established professional organizations with nearly 900 members, is excited to collaborate with leading law firms across the Commonwealth. This unique collaboration, with the support of the Luzerne County Law Library to provide Continuing Legal Education (hereafter CLE) credits for attending attorneys, aims to equip school districts with the legal knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the increasingly complex educational landscape.

Our Intended Audience

  • School Solicitors: Gain specialized knowledge and practical strategies
  • Child Accounting Professionals: Understand the legal implications of their work
  • Superintendents and other administrators who deal with policy implementation: Make informed decisions in compliance with the law

Objectives

1. Educational Impact: Deliver top-tier CLE credits on the latest legal developments in education

2. Practical Skills: Enhance participants’ ability to manage legal issues confidently

3. Collaborative Solutions: Foster a network of legal and educational professionals dedicated to improving school district outcomes
